Winter Weather Advisory
Issued: 6:51 AM MDT Oct. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 6 PM MDT this
evening...

* what... periods of snow, heavy at times. Total snow accumulations
of 2 to 4 inches with isolated higher amounts mainly over
western Natrona County. Casper Mountain is expected to see 5 to
10 inches of snowfall. Winds gusting 35 to 45 mph will result in
areas of blowing snow on Casper Mountain.

* Where... Natrona County.

* When... through 6 PM MDT this evening.

* Impacts... plan on slippery and snowpacked roads developing over
Casper Mountain. Road conditions in the lower elevations will
vary considerably from wet to snow covered and slick. Please be
careful as untreated roads can quickly go from wet to slick and
snow covered during bursts of heavy snow. Also visibility will
be severely reduced to near a tenth of mile. Also outdoor
enthusiasts in the mountains could easily become disoriented
and lost.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Slow down and use caution while traveling. If you travel, keep an
extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an
emergency. Also make sure your cell phone is charged.

The latest Road conditions for the state you are calling from can
be obtained by calling 5 1 1.
