... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 am EDT Tuesday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of southwest Virginia and West Virginia, including
the following areas, in southwest Virginia, Buchanan and
Dickenson. In West Virginia, Boone, Logan, McDowell, Mingo,
northwest Fayette, northwest Nicholas, northwest Pocahontas,
northwest Raleigh, northwest Randolph, northwest Webster,
southeast Fayette, southeast Nicholas, southeast Pocahontas,
southeast Raleigh, southeast Randolph, southeast Webster, and
Wyoming.

* Until 2 am EDT Tuesday

* continued showers are expected through late evening. Previous
rainfall over the past 24 hours has made portions of the
northern and central mountains of West Virginia sensitive to
additional rainfall.

* Flooding of urban and poor drainage areas will be possible. In
addition, flooding of small creeks and streams could occur
people residing near creeks and streams should monitor the
forecast and be prepared to take immediate action if flooding
occurs.
