Watches & Warnings

Lakeshore Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:37 PM CST Nov. 21, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Lakeshore flood advisory remains in effect until 6 PM CST this
evening...

* locations... door, Kewaunee, and Manitowoc counties.

* Lakeshore flooding... the risk of coastal flooding will continue
to subside for the remainder of the afternoon as waves subside
and are pushed offshore by gusty northwest winds. Also, some
higher waves and some minor beach erosion are possible on the
Bay Side of Door County this evening due to the gusty northwest
winds.

* Timing... until 6 PM Thursday.

* Impacts... coastal flooding or erosion will continue to diminish
during the remainder of the afternoon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Lakeshore flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and waves
will generate an increased chance of beach erosion and flooding
of low areas along the Lakeshore. People should stay off piers
and jetties to avoid being swept into the lake.
