Issued: 3:42 PM CDT Oct. 21, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Lakeshore flood advisory remains in effect until 10 PM CDT
this evening...

* winds... south winds of 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 40 mph will
gradually diminish as they shift to the southwest this evening.

* Waves... 8 to 12 feet at the Lakeshore, then subsiding this
evening as winds become southwest and diminish.

* Impacts... minor flooding of beaches, along with roads and
structures in low lying areas near the Lakeshore, are
possible. The high waves may cause Bluff erosion along Lake
Michigan. The primary period of strong winds and high waves
will be between 11 am and 5 PM CDT today.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Lakeshore flood advisory indicates that onshore winds will
generate flooding of low areas along the Lakeshore.
