... Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...
The Flood Watch continues for
* central and eastern Massachusetts as well as Rhode Island.
* Through late tonight
* heavy rain through the morning will result in widespread 1.50 to
2.50 inches of rain. Localized higher amounts of 3 to 3.50
inches are possible. This will bring the potential for some
river and stream flooding as well as urban flooding too.
* While the steady heavy rainfall comes to an end by afternoon,
the threat for river flooding continues through the weekend as a
result of runoff.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.
You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
