Watches & Warnings

Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 3:46 PM EDT Jun. 17, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through Tuesday
afternoon...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of east central Indiana and Ohio, including the
following areas, in east central Indiana, Fayette in, Union
in, and Wayne. In Ohio, Auglaize, Champaign, Darke, Delaware,
Hardin, Logan, Mercer, Miami, Preble, Shelby, and Union OH.

* Through Tuesday afternoon

* with the ground already saturated, additional rounds of showers
and embedded thunderstorms tonight through Tuesday could result
in new instances of flash flooding. Additional rainfall of 1 to
2 inches will be possible in the heaviest and most persistent
storm activity. This may result in flash flooding with lighter
rainfall amounts than would otherwise be expected.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

People in the watch area should keep an eye on the weather and be
prepared for immediate action should heavy rains and flooding
occur or a Flash Flood Warning be issued. Avoid low-lying areas,
and be careful when approaching Highway dips and underpasses.
