Issued: 7:11 PM MDT Jul. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a

* Arroyo and small stream flood advisory for...
north central Cibola County in west central New Mexico...

* until 915 PM MDT.

* At 707 PM MDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms between Grants and San Mateo. This will cause
Arroyo and small stream flooding in the advisory area. State
Road 547 will be impacted as well as Horace Mesa and Forest
roads in this area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Coal Mine Canyon, Lobo Canyon and Grants Canyon.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.
