The National Weather Service in Mount Holly NJ has issued a

* flood advisory for...
Morris County in northern New Jersey...
Hunterdon County in northwestern New Jersey...
Sussex County in northwestern New Jersey...
Warren County in northwestern New Jersey...
Somerset County in northern New Jersey...

* until 845 am EDT.

* At 540 am EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to showers
and thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory
area. Up to a half to three quarters of an inch of rain has
already fallen at some locations.

* Some locations that could experience flooding include...
Morristown, Somerville, Newton, Somerset, Bridgewater, Dover,
Madison, Hopatcong, Florham Park, East Hanover, Lincoln Park,
Bound Brook, Manville, Kinnelon, Hackettstown, Chatham, Byram and
Boonton.

Additional rainfall of a half inch to an inch is possible over the
area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses as
well as other poor drainage areas and low lying spots.
