northeastern wake... western Wilson... northeastern Johnston and
central Franklin counties is cancelled...

the storm which prompted the warning has weakened below severe
limits, and no longer poses an immediate threat to life or property.
Therefore the warning has been cancelled. However gusty winds and
heavy rain are still possible with this thunderstorm.

agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Raleigh has issued a

* flood advisory for...
southwestern Nash County in central North Carolina...
northeastern Wake County in central North Carolina...
northern Johnston County in central North Carolina...
southwestern Franklin County in central North Carolina...

* until 830 PM EDT

* at 530 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause minor flooding in the advisory area.
Up to two inches of rain have already fallen. Torrential rainfall
is occurring and will make travel difficult. Slow down and use
caution while driving.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Zebulon, Bunn, Wendell, Rolesville, Middlesex, pilot and emit.

This includes the following flood prone areas... Highway 96 at Little
River... Bennett Perry Road near perry's pond and mutt Winstead Road
near the Tar River.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Do not drive your vehicle into areas where the water covers the
roadway. The water depth may be too great to allow your car to cross
safely. Move to higher ground.

... An area of showers and strong thunderstorms will affect
northeastern Wayne... southwestern Nash... northeastern wake...
Wilson... northeastern Johnston and central Franklin counties until
630 PM EDT...

At 525 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking an area of showers and
strong thunderstorms along a line extending from near Jason to near
Wake Forest. These storms were nearly stationary.

Pea size hail and wind gusts up to 50 mph will be possible with these
storms.

Heavy rain and minor flooding and deadly cloud to ground lightning
will also be possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
Raleigh, Goldsboro, Louisburg, Wilson, Wake Forest, Zebulon, Elm
City, Fremont, Walnut Creek and Bailey.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Seek shelter in a nearby building or vehicle. Wind gusts as high as
50 mph are capable of knocking down small or weakened trees and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture and other
light outdoor objects.
