Heat Advisory
Issued: 5:14 AM CDT Jul. 21, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Heat advisory remains in effect until 8 PM CDT this evening...

* temperature... highs of 90 to 95 with heat index values of 100
to 105 are expected once again on Sunday. Sunday should be the
last day of heat warnings and advisories for the area. A cold
front is expected to move through Sunday night.

* Impacts... a prolonged period of hot weather can increase the
risk of heat related illness, including heat exhaustion and
heat stroke. The very Young, the elderly, and those without
access to air conditioning will be especially vulnerable.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A heat advisory means that a period of hot temperatures is
expected. The combination of hot temperatures and high humidity
will combine to create a situation in which heat illnesses are
possible. Drink plenty of fluids, stay in an air-conditioned
room, stay out of the sun, and check up on relatives and
neighbors.
