... Lakeshore flood advisory in effect until 8 am EDT Wednesday...

The National Weather Service in Gaylord has issued a Lakeshore
flood advisory, which is in effect until 8 am EDT Wednesday.

* Lake Shore flooding... gusty southeast winds will persist into
this evening before shifting south to southwest tonight into
Tuesday. This will produce waves of 4 to 7 feet in parts of
Grand Traverse Bay through tonight and 6 to 10 feet along the
Lake Michigan shoreline areas on Tuesday. Waves of this size
will be capable of producing minor Lakeshore flooding.

* Timing... tonight through early Wednesday.

* Impacts... high winds and waves will generate some beach
flooding and erosion.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Lakeshore flood advisory indicates that onshore winds will
generate flooding of low areas along the Lakeshore.
