Issued: 2:15 PM EST Nov. 17, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Coastal flood advisory now in effect until 9 am EST Monday...

* locations... shoreline in St. Marys County.

* Tidal departure... around two feet above normal.

* Timing... around the time of high tide. The next two high tides
will be 4:45 PM and 5:09 am at Point Lookout, 5:19 PM and 6:03
am at Piney Point, and 5:55 PM and 6:39 am at Coltons Point.

* Impacts... up to one half foot of inundation above ground level
is possible. At 3.0 feet, yards are flooded on Saint George
Island, and water will begin covering the Road leading to the
island, especially if there is wave action.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal flood advisory indicates that onshore winds and tides
will combine to generate flooding of low areas along the shore.


Time of high total tides are approximate to the nearest hour.
