... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect until 2 am EDT Tuesday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Kentucky, south central Kentucky, and
southeast Kentucky, including the following areas, in
northeast Kentucky, Martin. In south central Kentucky,
McCreary and Whitley. In southeast Kentucky, Bell, Clay,
Floyd, Harlan, Knott, Knox, Leslie, Letcher, Perry, and Pike.

* Until 2 am EDT Tuesday

* occasional showers and thunderstorms are expected. They may
produce very heavy rainfall in a short amount of time,
resulting in excessive runoff.

* Flash flooding will be possible. In addition, mudslides could
occur in steep terrain.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
