Special Statement
Issued: 3:32 PM CDT Oct. 17, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Patchy frost briefly possible over part of the quad state late
tonight...

Patchy frost will be possible over parts of southeast Illinois,
southwest Indiana, and the pennyrile region of west Kentucky late
tonight.

The period of greatest concern for frost development will range
between 5 am and 7 am Friday morning.

A widespread killing frost has already occurred across most of
the quad state region this week, so most areas will not see
further issues.

However, horse and livestock owners may wish to monitor pasture
conditions for frost development to mitigate any concerns.
