The Flood Warning continues for
the Rock River at Afton.
* At 2:00 PM Monday the stage was 10.4 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will remain near 10.4 feet.
* Impact... at 10.4 feet... floodwaters affect low spots on South River
Road on the south side of Janesville. Floodwaters affect a home on
south Christian Road on the east side of the river in the Afton
area. There is extensive lowland and agricultural land flooding in
the Afton and Janesville areas.


River forecasts are available for some but not all river gaging
locations. The 7 day river forecast takes into account past
precipitation, soil moisture conditions, and predicted
precipitation for the basin. Precipitation is for the next 24 hours
in the future from April through September and for 48 hours in the
future from October through March.

the Rock River at Latham Park, or from Swanson Road in Roscoe
downstream to Shorewood Park in Loves Park.
* Until further notice.
* At 930 am Monday the stage was 11.3 feet.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to a stage of 11.1 feet
by Tuesday morning.
* Impact... at 11.5 feet... Queen Oaks drive is threatened in Machesney
Park. Lower-level of elevated structures threatened along Harbor
lights court west of Machesney Park. Ritter drive is threatened
north of Baldwin drive in Machesney Park.

the Rock River at Rockton, or from Prairie Hill Road downstream to
Swanson Road in Roscoe.
* Until Friday afternoon.
* At 930 am Monday the stage was 11.0 feet.
* Flood stage is 10.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Friday morning.
* Impact... at 10.5 feet... Edgemere terrace is inundated near Roscoe.

the Pecatonica River near Shirland, or from Winnebago County line
downstream to confluence with the Rock River.
* Until Monday October 21.
* At 900 am Monday the stage was 14.5 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Moderate flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast... the river will continue to fall to below flood stage by
Sunday evening.
* Impact... at 14.5 feet... Pecatonica Road and Blair Road are
threatened north of Pecatonica.
