* what... snow expected. Additional snow accumulations of 2 to 6
inches.

* Where... Lookout Pass.

* When... through 8 am PDT Sunday.

* Impacts... outdoor enthusiasts and big game hunters may become
stranded on high elevation roads that are not maintained.

* Additional details... the heaviest accumulations will likely
occur above 5000 feet with high elevations storm totals
receiving up to 12 inches. Motorists should prepare for winter
driving conditions tonight at Lookout Pass which has an
elevation of 4700 feet.

Areal Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:32 PM PDT Oct. 19, 2019 – National Weather Service

The National Weather Service in Spokane has issued a

* urban and small stream flood advisory for...
southwestern Latah County in the Panhandle of Idaho...
southeastern Whitman County in eastern Washington...

* until 830 PM PDT Saturday.

* At 227 PM PDT, gauge reports indicated between 0.40 to 0.80 inches
of rain has fallen since this morning. Additional moderate rain
mixed with wet snow is expected through early this evening leading
to additional ponding on area roadways, as well as the potential
for minor small stream flooding including Paradise creek in
Moscow. Localized flooding in poor drainage areas is also possible.

* Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Pullman, Moscow, Colfax, Genesee, Troy, Potlatch, Juliaetta, Deary,
Kendrick, Palouse, Albion, Colton, Uniontown, Endicott, Onaway, La
Crosse, Almota, Harvard, dusty and Wawawai.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall may cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses
as well as other drainage areas and low lying spots.

Please report flooding to your local law enforcement agency when you
can do so safely.
