Special Statement
Issued: 1:55 AM CDT Sep. 16, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Areas of dense fog early this morning...

Areas of dense fog continue to spread over portions of central and
east central Iowa early this morning. Visibility in some
locations have dropped to less than a half mile with pockets even
down to one quarter of a mile at times. The low visibility
restrictions will likely impact travel along Highway 20 from Fort
Dodge to Waterloo, Interstate 35 from around Osceola north to
Ames, Interstate 80 east of Adair, along Highway 30 east of
Carroll, and any secondary roads near the aforementioned
corridors. If traveling this morning, use low beam headlights,
slow down, and allow extra space between you and the vehicle ahead
of you.
