Special Statement
Issued: 4:11 AM EDT Oct. 23, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Patchy dense fog possible early this morning...

Patchy dense fog is possible across portions of the Piedmont,
south central Virginia, central Virginia, and the Northern Neck
early this morning. This patchy dense fog will reduce visibilities
to a half mile or less at times. Motorists should be alert for
sudden reductions in visibility. Reduce speed, allow extra travel
time and following distance, and use your low beam headlights. Any
fog should quickly dissipate after sunrise.
