... A line of thunderstorms with heavy rain will affect northern
Gloucester... King And Queen... Middlesex... Northumberland...
Richmond... Mathews... central New Kent... eastern King William...
Lancaster and southeastern Essex counties...

At 854 PM EDT, thunderstorms with heavy rain were located along a
line extending from near Millers Tavern to near King And Queen Court
House to near West Point. Movement was east at 25 mph.

Wind gusts up to 40 mph and rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are
possible with these storms.

Locations impacted include...
New Kent, King William, Mathews, West Point, Tappahannock, Warsaw,
Kilmarnock, Urbanna, fair port, Saint Stephens church, Robley, King
And Queen Court House, Deltaville, Callao, Lancaster, White Stone,
Saluda, Farnham, Jamaica and Millers Tavern.

If you see lightning or hear thunder, you are at risk! Take shelter
indoors immediately. If you cannot find shelter in a building a
vehicle provides safety from lightning.

Strong wind gusts are possible with these storms. These wind gusts
are capable of knocking down tree limbs, small or weakened trees, and
blowing around trash cans, potted plants, lawn furniture, and other
light outdoor objects.

Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm.
Lightning can strike more than 10 miles away from a thunderstorm.
Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle.
