Special Statement
Issued: 6:24 AM EST Nov. 15, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Snow squalls possible mid to late this afternoon across
northern New York and northern Vermont...

Snow squalls are possible mid to late this afternoon as an Arctic
front moves across the north country. Affected locations will see
rapidly changing weather and Road conditions with brief heavy
snow and gusty winds. A quick snow accumulation of a half of an
inch to an inch is possible. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph
with the strongest squalls. Temperatures will plummet behind the
Arctic front which could result in a flash freeze on untreated
surfaces. This could yield some icy and slick roads for the
evening commute across northern New York and northern Vermont.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be prepared for areas of blowing and drifting snow. This could
lead to temporary whiteout conditions and the potential for
dangerous driving conditions. Icy roads are also expected. If you
are traveling and encounter adverse winter driving conditions,
reduce speed and make sure your headlights are on.
