... High rip current risk in effect from 6 am EDT Wednesday
through Wednesday evening...

The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has issued a high rip
current risk, which is in effect from 6 am EDT Wednesday through
Wednesday evening.

* Locations... in New Jersey, eastern Monmouth, Atlantic coastal
Cape May, coastal Atlantic and coastal ocean. In Delaware,
Delaware beaches.

* Timing... from 6 am EDT Wednesday through Wednesday evening.

* Surf zone impacts... very strong rip currents will be dangerous
to anyone who enters the surf.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
