... Lakeshore flood advisory in effect from 4 PM this afternoon to
4 am EST Saturday...

The National Weather Service in Detroit/Pontiac has issued a
Lakeshore flood advisory, which is in effect from 4 PM this
afternoon to 4 am EST Saturday.

* Lake Shore flooding... northerly winds at 20 mph with gusts of
25-30 mph will lead to higher waves and water levels along the
northern tip of The Thumb.

* Impacts... the combination of rising lake levels and wave action
will cause beach erosion and minor flooding along the shoreline
of Lake Huron.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Lakeshore flood advisory indicates that onshore winds will
generate flooding of low areas along the Lakeshore.
