through Sunday evening...

The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has issued a
Lakeshore flood advisory... which is in effect from noon Saturday
to 8 PM EDT Sunday. A beach hazards statement has also been
issued. This beach hazards statement is in effect from Saturday
afternoon through Sunday evening.

* Winds... south to southwest 15 to 25 mph.

* Waves... 3 to 5 feet Saturday, then 4 to 7 feet Saturday night
and Sunday.

* High wave action... strong currents and dangerous swimming
conditions expected. Waves will also wash over piers.

* Location... beaches from Holland to Manistee.

* Lakeshore flooding and beach erosion. Water forced into channels
between pier heads may flood portions or port towns along the
river channel edges. Beaches and dunes may see erosion.

* Beaches with particularly dangerous conditions include...

Grand Haven State Park
Pere Marquette Park in Muskegon

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Dangerous swim conditions will exist at Lake Michigan beaches
north of Holland on Saturday, and for all west Michigan beaches on
Sunday. Waves will also wash over piers, and could sweep people
into the Lake.

A Lakeshore flood advisory indicates that onshore winds will
generate flooding of low areas along the Lakeshore. Beaches and
dunes may see erosion.
