Coastal Flood Warning
Issued: 2:23 PM EST Nov. 18, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Coastal Flood Warning in effect until 11 PM EST this evening...

The National Weather Service in Baltimore MD/Washington has
issued a coastal Flood Warning, which is in effect until 11 PM
EST this evening. The coastal Flood Watch is no longer in effect.

* Locations... shoreline in St. Marys County.

* Tidal departure... around two feet above normal.

* Timing... around the time of high tide. The next high tide will
be 5:41 PM this evening at Point Lookout, 6:18 PM at Piney
Point, and 6:54 PM at Coltons Point.

* Impacts... water is expected to cover roads on St. Georges
island, be in yards, and approach structures. To the east,
inundation is expected at multiple marinas off St. Mary's River,
Smith Creek, and Jutland Creek. Shoreline inundation up to one
foot above ground is possible elsewhere.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A coastal Flood Warning means that flooding is occurring or
imminent. Coastal residents in the warned area should be alert
for rising water, and take appropriate action to protect life and
property.
