At 430 am, numerous strong thunderstorms were observed across the
region. The strongest activity was along and west of Interstate
57, south along the Mississippi River and back into southeast
Missouri. Movement of the storms was northeast 50 to 60 mph.
Through daybreak, the storms will continue, some capable of hail
up to dime size and wind gusts 45 to 55 mph.

A Tornado Watch remains in effect for all of southeast Missouri,
and portions of southern Illinois and far western Kentucky until
900 am.
