Watches & Warnings

Flash Flood Watch
Issued: 2:54 PM MST Nov. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through 12 PM MST
Thursday...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* northern Gila County, as well as Yavapai County, including Oak
Creek and Sycamore canyons.

* Until 12 PM MST

* areas of rain will continue through Thursday. Embedded
thunderstorms may produce rainfall rates exceeding 1 inch in
less than an hour. Storm total rainfall may exceed 2 to 3 inches
in many locations.

* These rainfall rates will result in rapidly rising water in
area washes, creeks and streams. This will create hazardous
conditions at low water crossings. Turn around, don't drown.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that developing conditions may lead to
flash flooding within the watch area.

People... especially those located along area creeks... rivers or
other flash flood prone areas should continue to monitor later
forecasts and be prepared to take immediate action should flash
flood warnings be issued.
