Special Statement
Issued: 3:11 AM PST Dec. 14, 2019 – National Weather Service

... One more system to bring snow for late today and tonight...

A colder system is expected late today into Sunday morning with
light to occasionally moderate snow possible down to all valley
floors. Higher confidence exists for areas around a Portola-Reno-
Fallon line, with up to 2 inches of snow possible by Sunday morning.
This includes the Reno-Sparks Metro area. Keep in mind that it
doesn't take much snow to bring travel difficulties.

Bottom line: slick and snow-covered roads are possible for portions
of northeast California and western and west-central Nevada tonight
into Sunday. Make sure you are ready for winter driving conditions
and allow extra time to reach your destination. Check with caltrans
or ndot for the latest travel restrictions before leaving for your
destination.
