The National Weather Service in Grand Rapids has extended the

* flood advisory for...
Osceola County in central Michigan...
northern Mecosta County in central Michigan...

* until 1115 am EDT Sunday.

* At 909 PM EDT, radar estimates and rain gauge reports indicated 1
to 3 inches of rainfall had fallen since this morning, with
western portions of the area receiving between 3 and 6 inches of
rain. Local officials confirm minor flooding is ongoing, with
water over numerous roads.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Big Rapids, Evart, Reed City, Marion, Mecosta, Barryton, Canadian
Lakes, Highland, Paris, Hersey, Le Roy, Tustin, Gibos Corners,
Rodney, Ashton, Sears, Pisgah Heights, Avondale, Chippewa Lake and
Dighton.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
