Lakeshore Flood Advisory
Issued: 2:14 PM CDT Oct. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Lakeshore flood advisory in effect from 10 am to 10 PM CDT
Monday...

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a
Lakeshore flood advisory... which is in effect from 10 am to 10 PM
CDT Monday.

* Winds... southeast winds will increase to 20 to 30 mph Monday
morning, becoming southwest later Monday afternoon and decreasing
to 15 to 25 mph.

* Waves... waves building to 8 to 10 feet, decreasing Monday evening
due to winds shifting offshore and diminishing.

* Impacts... minor flooding of beaches, along with roads and structures
in low lying areas near the Lakeshore, are possible. The combination of
gusty southeast winds and high wave action will occur from mid morning
Monday through Monday evening.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Lakeshore flood advisory indicates that onshore winds will
generate flooding of low areas along the Lakeshore.

Dense Fog Advisory
Issued: 3:42 PM CDT Oct. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Dense fog advisory in effect until 10 PM CDT this evening...

The National Weather Service in Milwaukee/Sullivan has issued a
dense fog advisory... which is in effect until 10 PM CDT this
evening.

* Timing... through this evening.

* Visibility... 1/4 mile or less, especially near Lake Michigan.

* Impacts... visibility will vary widely from near Lake Michigan to
areas farther inland. This can be especially dangerous for
motorists unaware of the changing conditions. Slow down and
allow extra time to reach your destination.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
