Special Statement
Issued: 4:58 AM EST Dec. 9, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Areas of slippery travel expected during this morning's
commute...

A light wintry mix of snow and freezing rain is expected to
continue across northern New York and northern Vermont through
this morning. There may be isolated pockets of sleet as well. A
light ice accumulation is anticipated, which will cause areas of
slippery travel during the Monday morning commute, especially on
untreated roads and sidewalks. Some areas where the air
temperature is above freezing could still have icing since the
pavement temperature may still be below freezing. The threat for
mixed precipitation and slick travel will end by about noon as
temperatures warm into the upper 30s to lower 40s.
