Flood Advisory
Issued: 9:14 PM CST Jan. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

The flood advisory continues for
the Mississippi River at Osceola
* until Saturday January 26.
* At 9 PM Tuesday the stage was 23.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 28.0 feet.
* Forecast... the river will rise to near 29.5 feet Friday February
1.
* At 30.0 feet... in Tennessee, The Reach-Coker Slough hunting Camp is
flooded. Crawford Road west just north of Fort Pillow historic area
is going under water. Houses are flooding along cold Creek Road.
Four Mile Road is flooding, and Champion Lake Road is being flooded
by Hatchie river backwater. Sunk Lake Road is flooded north of Bee
Lake. In Arkansas, Highway 120 is flooded between O'Donnell Bend
and the levee, and barge loading has to stop at Osceola.

Wind Advisory
Issued: 7:30 PM CST Jan. 22, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 6 am CST Wednesday...

* winds... sustained south winds between 20 to 30 mph with gusts
to 40 mph.

* Timing... 6 PM CST tonight to 6 am CST Wednesday.

* Impacts... loose outdoor items will be vulnerable to the strong
winds. Travel may become difficult and hazardous... especially
on east to west roadways and for high profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 25 mph or greater
are expected. Winds this strong can make driving difficult,
especially for high profile vehicles. Use extra caution.
