Oregon department of environmental quality has issued an air quality
advisory... in effect until noon PDT Thursday.

A smoke air quality advisory has been issued. Wildfires burning in
the region combined with forecast conditions will cause air quality
to remain at unhealthy levels.

Pollutants in smoke can cause burning eyes... runny nose... aggravate
heart and lung diseases... and aggravate other serious health
problems. Limit outdoor activities. Please follow medical advice if
you have a heart or lung condition.

Fire Weather Warning
Issued: 8:47 AM PDT Aug. 20, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Red flag warning remains in effect from noon today to 9 PM PDT
this evening for gusty winds and low humidity for fire weather
zone 640...

* affected area... fire weather zone 640 in Oregon.

* Timing... winds will increase late this morning. Relative
humidity will drop to 14-18 percent in the afternoon.
Relative humidity will improve late Monday evening.

* Wind... in fwz 640 north winds will increase to 12 to 18 mph
with gusts to 30 mph.Highest winds on exposed ridges. Winds
will decrease after sunset.

* Humidity... 14 to 18 percent in the afternoon.

* Impacts... any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A red flag warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now... .or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds... low relative humidity... and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.
