Areal Flood Watch

... Flood Watch remains in effect through Saturday afternoon...

The Flood Watch for flash flooding... flooding of creeks and
rivers... and flooding of low lying areas continues for

* portions of central Oklahoma, east central Oklahoma, southeast
Oklahoma, and southern Oklahoma, including the following
areas, in central Oklahoma, Cleveland, McClain, and
Pottawatomie. In east central Oklahoma, Pontotoc and Seminole.
In southeast Oklahoma, Atoka, Bryan, Coal, Hughes, Johnston,
and Marshall. In southern Oklahoma, Carter, Garvin, Jefferson,
Love, Murray, and Stephens.

* Through Saturday afternoon

* 1 to 2 inches of additional rainfall is possible in some areas
where 2 to as much as 14 inches have already occured with
widespread showers.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts. Flooding is already occurring in many
locations within the watch area.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
