... Flood Warning extended for
the Scioto River near Prospect.
* Until Thursday afternoon.
* At 9:00 am Monday the stage was... 10.2 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast.
* Flood stage is 9.0 feet.
* The river will rise to near 11.5 feet by Tuesday morning. The river
will fall below flood stage Thursday morning.
* At 10.0 feet... Highway 203 is inaccessible north of Prospect.
Flooding occurs near Elm Street in northern parts of Prospect.
* At 12.0 feet... Highway 203 inaccessible north of Prospect. Elm and
West River Road are flooded. Prospect and Upper Sandusky roads are
also flooded.

the Scioto River near LaRue.
* Until late Tuesday night.
* At 10:00 am Monday the stage was... 12.9 feet.
* Minor flooding is occurring and is forecast.
* Flood stage is 11.0 feet.
* The river will rise to near 13.0 feet by this afternoon. The river
will fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.
* At 12.0 feet... flooding occurs in lowland areas south of the Village
of La Rue. Route 37 and parts of vine street inundated.
* At 13.0 feet... river at bankfull in the Village of La Rue.
Floodwaters will spread to east vine street.

Flash Flood Watch

... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect through late tonight...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* portions of north central Ohio, northeast Ohio, and Northwest
Ohio, including the following areas, in north central Ohio,
Ashland, Crawford, Knox, Marion, Morrow, and Richland. In
northeast Ohio, Holmes, Mahoning, Medina, Portage, Stark,
Summit, Trumbull, and Wayne. In Northwest Ohio, Hancock and
Wyandot.

* Through late tonight

* additional rainfall is expected through this evening and will
quickly run off possibly leading to more or worsening flooding.

* The risk for flash flooding will increase after each round of
rainfall, particularly in poor drainage areas near creeks,
streams and ditches and in urban areas. Street flooding is also
possible. Additional rainfall amounts between 0.5" and 1.5" are
possible near and south of a line from Findlay to Mansfield to
Warren.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch is issued when there is a potential for flash
flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation. Monitor
the forecast and be prepared to take action should flash flood
warnings be issued or if flooding develops.
