... Flood Watch remains in effect through Sunday afternoon...

The Flood Watch continues for

* portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and West
Virginia, including the following areas, in northeast
Kentucky, Boyd, Carter, Greenup, and Lawrence KY. In southeast
Ohio, Athens, Gallia, Jackson OH, Lawrence OH, Meigs, Morgan,
Perry, Vinton, and Washington. In West Virginia, Cabell,
Jackson WV, Mason, Pleasants, Tyler, Wayne, and wood.

* Through Sunday afternoon

* waves of low pressure, along a front over the area, will bring
several more rounds of heavy rainfall. After an evening lull,
the next round will come late tonight into Saturday, followed by
several more Saturday night into Sunday. The front will finally
sweep through the area Sunday, as a cold front, bringing the
threat for heavy rainfall to an end Sunday afternoon.

* Flooding of larger streams, creeks and rivers, especially the
Ohio, Muskingum and Hocking rivers, is likely to exceed moderate
levels.

A Flood Watch means there is a potential for flooding based on
current forecasts.

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible
flood warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be
prepared to take action should flooding develop.
