Issued: 2:25 AM PST Dec. 12, 2018 – National Weather Service

... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 4 PM PST this
afternoon...

* winds... west to northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts to 50
mph. Winds gusting as high as 60 mph along higher passes and
ridgetops.

* Timing... west to northwest winds will increase this morning and
peak in the afternoon. Winds will diminish steadily after
sunset.

* Impacts... winds can make travel difficult especially for high
profile vehicles along north/south oriented roadways like
US-93 and Mountain City Highway. Loose outdoor objects such
as trash cans and patio furniture can be blown around and
should be secured or brought inside.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Wind Advisory means that sustained winds of 30 mph with gusts
in excess of 45 mph are expected. Winds this strong can make
driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles. Use
extra caution.
