... Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect from 5 am Sunday to
11 am PDT Monday above 7000 feet...
* what... snow showers are expected to produce 2 to 5 inches of
new snow above 7000 feet. Winds gusting as high as 45 mph.
* Where... Spring Mountains, including Lee Canyon and Kyle Canyon.
* When... from early Sunday morning through late Monday morning.
* Additional details... this late season snow may catch some by
surprise and will cause significant impacts to outdoor
recreation. Roads in the high terrain will be wet and slick,
making travel potentially dangerous.
Plan on slippery Road conditions. Expect snow covered roads and
limited visibilities, and use caution while driving. Anyone
planning outdoor recreation in the Sierra this week should stay
tuned and consider rescheduling their plans.
