The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a

* Flash Flood Warning for...
northwestern Sheridan County in south central North Dakota...
southeastern McLean County in south central North Dakota...
northwestern Burleigh County in south central North Dakota...

* until 645 am CDT Saturday.

* At 1239 am CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. Between four and five inches of
rain has already fallen. Flash flooding is expected to begin
shortly. Additional rainfall amounts as high as two inches are
expected in the warned area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
McClusky, Wilton, Mercer, Regan, Baldwin, Hoffer lake and new Johns
Lake.



Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

southeastern Sheridan and northeastern Burleigh counties...

At 1123 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing
heavy rain across the warned area. 4 to 6 inches of rain has
already fallen in the warned area. Flash flooding is expected.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Wing, Goodrich and Denhoff.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.

The National Weather Service in Bismarck has issued a

* Flash Flood Watch for a portion of south central North Dakota,
including the following areas, Burleigh, Kidder, Sheridan, and
Wells.

* Until 7 am CDT Saturday

* heavy rain from thunderstorms may cause areas of flash flooding
through tonight.

* Do not drive through flooded roadways, which can be very
difficult to spot at night. Stay away from high water areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
