... Flash Flood Watch remains in effect from Monday morning
through Monday evening...

The Flash Flood Watch continues for

* a portion of eastern North Carolina, including the following
areas, Beaufort, Carteret, Craven, Duplin, Greene, Jones,
Lenoir, Mainland Dare, Mainland Hyde, Martin, Onslow, Outer
Banks Dare, Outer Banks Hyde, Pamlico, Pitt, Tyrrell, and
Washington.

* From Monday morning through Monday evening

* 2 to 4 inches of rain is expected over a large area of eastern
North Carolina.

* Heavy rainfall rates and rapid runoff could produce flash
flooding in urban, low lying and poor drainage areas.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Flash Flood Watch means that conditions may develop that lead
to flash flooding. Flash flooding is a very dangerous situation.

You should monitor later forecasts and be prepared to take action
should flash flood warnings be issued.
