Special Statement
Issued: 6:05 AM CDT Aug. 20, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Areas of fog for the morning rush hour...

Very moist ground from rainfall late yesterday afternoon has aided
in the development of areas of fog across portions of southeast
Louisiana and south Mississippi. Visibilities below one mile have
been noted along and north of the Interstate 12 corridor, as well
as areas west of Lake Pontchartrain.

Drivers should plan for a little extra time for the morning rush
hour with reduced visibilities. Conditions should improve by about
8 am CDT.
