Special Statement
Issued: 9:55 AM EDT Oct. 21, 2019 – National Weather Service

... Gusty winds expected today into this evening...

A strong storm system will move into the Ohio Valley today. Gusty
south winds will develop across eastern Kentucky in advance of
this system. Sustained winds between 10 and 20 mph are expected,
with a few gusts to between 30 and 35 mph. The strongest winds are
expected generally reside along and west of the I-75 corridor, along
and north of the I-64 corridor, and in the highest terrain along
the Kentucky, Virginia, and West Virginia state line. Isolated
wind gusts to around 30 mph will be possible elsewhere. These
wind gusts could make driving difficult for high profile vehicles,
particularly when traveling in the east-west direction. In
addition, loose outdoor objects could get blown around.

Stay tuned to NOAA all hazards weather radio and your local media
for the latest weather updates.
