... Dense fog advisory in effect until 9 am EST this morning...
The National Weather Service in Jackson has issued a dense fog
advisory, which is in effect until 9 am EST this morning.
* Visibility... one quarter of a mile or less in many locations
until an hour or two after sunrise.
* Impacts... longer travel times during the morning commute due to
widespread low visibilities. In addition, temperatures are in
the upper teens and low 20s across the area and some of the fog
may freeze on roads or other surfaces such as bridges and
overpasses, leading to icy spots.
A dense fog advisory means visibilities will frequently be
reduced to less than one quarter mile. If driving... slow down...
use your headlights... and leave plenty of distance ahead of you.
