The National Weather Service in Quad Cities has issued a
* Flood Warning for
the wapsipinicon river at Independence.
* Until Monday morning.
* At 3:30 am Friday the stage was 11.6 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and moderate flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage this morning and continue rising
to 13.1 feet Saturday morning. The river will fall below flood
stage Monday morning.
* Impact, at 12.0 feet, water affects low-lying streets in
Independence.

The Flood Warning continues for
the wapsipinicon river near Anamosa Shaw Rd.
* Until Thursday morning.
* At 8:15 PM Thursday the stage was 11.5 feet and rising.
* Flood stage is 14.5 feet.
* No flooding is occurring and minor flooding is forecast.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage Saturday morning and continue
rising to 16.6 feet Monday morning. The river will fall below
flood stage Thursday morning.
* Impact, at 16.5 feet, jungle town Road is closed.

* until further notice.
* At 9:00 PM Thursday the stage was 8.2 feet.
* Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
* Major flooding is possible.
* Forecast, rise above flood stage Sunday morning... and continue
rising to 16.5 feet Tuesday morning, the likely crest is between 15
and 17 feet. Flooding is expected, and a warning will be issued tomorrow.
* This forecast is based on routed flow from upstream in combination
with forecast rainfall. Consequently there is limited confidence
in the river reaching major flood stage.
