The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a high surf
advisory, which is in effect until 6 am HST Thursday. The high
surf warning has been cancelled.

* Surf... 10 to 15 feet along north facing shores of Kauai, Oahu,
Molokai, Maui and The Big Island. 6 to 10 feet along east
facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and The Big Island.

* Timing... through noon today for north facing shores of Kauai,
Oahu, and Molokai. Through 6 PM this evening for north facing
shores of Maui and The Big Island. Through 6 am Thursday for
east facing shores of Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Maui and The Big
Island.

* Impacts... moderate... expect strong breaking waves, shore
break, and strong longshore and rip currents making swimming
difficult and dangerous.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by
ocean safety officials and exercise caution. Know your limits;
when in doubt, don't go out.
