The National Weather Service in Miami has issued a coastal flood
statement and high rip current risk, which are in effect through

parking lots, and docks in vulnerable areas during the times of
high tide. The high tides will be between 900 and 1100 in the
morning and the evening.

* Coastal flooding timing... coastal flooding at high tide through
at least Saturday.

* Rip current impacts... strong rip currents are forecast to occur
along the Atlantic beaches heading into the weekend, which will
be hazardous for those in the surf zone.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

There is a high risk of rip currents.

Rip currents are powerful channels of water flowing quickly away
from shore, which occur most often at low spots or breaks in The
Sandbar and in the vicinity of structures such as groins, jetties
and piers. Heed the advice of lifeguards, beach patrol flags and
signs.

Swim near a lifeguard. If caught in a rip current, relax and
float. Don't swim against the current. If able, swim in a
direction following the shoreline. If unable to escape, face the
shore and call or wave for help.
