... Wind Advisory remains in effect until 3 am PDT Saturday...

* winds... areas of northwest to north winds will continue to
increase to 20 to 35 mph with gusts to 55 mph. Winds may
diminish some during the afternoon hours, but winds will
increase again tonight.

* Impacts... gusty winds will make driving difficult, especially
for high profile vehicles.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

When driving, use extra caution. Be prepared for sudden gusty
cross winds.





Fire Weather Watch
Issued: 1:27 PM PDT Oct. 19, 2017 – National Weather Service

... Fire Weather Watch in effect from Sunday morning through
Tuesday afternoon for gusty northeast winds and low relative
humidity for the foothills of the San Gabriel valley...

The National Weather Service in Los Angeles/Oxnard has issued a
Fire Weather Watch for gusty northeast winds and low relative
humidity... which is in effect from Sunday morning through Tuesday
afternoon.

* Winds... northeast winds 10 to 20 mph with gusts to 30 mph in the
foothills on Sunday, increasing to 15 to 25 mph with gusts to
35 mph on Sunday and Monday.

* Relative humidity... minimum values 8 to 15 percent on Sunday,
lowering to 6 to 12 percent Monday and Tuesday.

* Temperatures... .Max temperatures 90 to 95 degrees on Sunday,
rising to between 100 and 105 degrees Monday into Tuesday. Very
warm overnight low temperatures in the foothills and wind prone
areas... remaining 75 to 80 degrees in warmest locations.

* Impacts... if fire ignition occurs, there will be the potential
for rapid spread of wildfire and extreme fire behavior that
could lead to a threat to life and property.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

A Fire Weather Watch means that critical fire weather conditions
are possible. Listen for later forecasts and possible red flag
warnings. Use extreme caution when using potential fire ignition
sources.
