* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
west central Graham County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 645 PM MST.

* At 545 PM MST, a severe thunderstorm was located 19 miles east of
San Carlos Reservoir, or 34 miles northwest of Safford, moving west
at 10 mph.

Hazard... 60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

Source... radar indicated.

Impact... hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage
           to roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
Calva and Bylas.

This includes Route 70 between mile markers 281 and 297.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

For your protection move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a
building.

... The Flash Flood Warning remains in effect until 630 PM MST for
south central Graham County...

At 532 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated thunderstorms producing heavy
rain across the warned area. Radar rainfall estimates indicate that
over 2 inches of rainfall has occurred along State Highway 286 west
of Highway 191.

Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Graham and Junction of highways 191 and 266.

This includes the following highways...
Route 191 between mile markers 100 and 109.
Route 266 between mile markers 105 and 117.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* small stream flood advisory for...
northwestern Graham County in southeastern Arizona...

* until 730 PM MST.

* At 533 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area.

This includes washes draining southward into the Gila River between
Fort Thomas and Calva where 1 to 2 inches of rain fell late this
afternoon. As storms move west of Highway 70, street flooding is
possible in the Bylas and Calva areas. Other small streams and
creeks will also flow rapidly in far northwest Graham County.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

* until 615 PM MST.

* At 451 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area.

* Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Mount Graham and Junction of highways 191 and 266.

This includes the following highways...
Route 191 between mile markers 100 and 109.
Route 266 between mile markers 105 and 117.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Move away from recently burned areas. Life threatening flooding of
creeks, roads and normally dry washes is likely. The heavy rains will
likely trigger Rockslides, mudslides and debris flows in steep
terrain, especially in and around these areas.

* until 630 PM MST.

* At 325 PM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. This will cause small stream flooding in the
advisory area. Up to one inch of rain has already fallen.

This includes Route 191 between mile markers 182 and 206 and
the following streams... Willow Creek... Point of pines
creek... Sheep Wash and Eagle Creek.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of washes
and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying spots.

Flooding is occurring or is imminent. It is important to know where
you are relative to streams, rivers, or creeks which can become
killers in heavy rains. Campers and hikers should avoid streams or
creeks.

Excessive Heat Watch

... Excessive heat watch in effect from Monday morning through
Tuesday evening...

The National Weather Service in Tucson has issued an excessive
heat watch, which is in effect from Monday morning through
Tuesday evening.

* Impacts... excessive heat will result in an increased potential
for heat related illness. Those working or participating in
outdoor activities or those without access to adequate air
conditioning will be most at risk.

* Affected areas... most of southeast Pinal, Pima, Santa Cruz,
Graham, Greenlee and Cochise counties below 5000 feet in
elevation.

* Temperatures... temperatures are expected to peak around 108 to
115 degrees across much of the watch area each day with Tuesday
likely being the warmer of the two days. Low temperatures Monday
night into Tuesday morning will also be abnormally warm which
adds to the heat related stress on the body.

Precautionary/preparedness actions...

An excessive heat watch means that a prolonged period of
extremely hot temperatures is expected. Take extra precautions if
you work or spend time outside. When possible... reschedule
strenuous activities to early morning or evening. Know the signs
and symptoms of heat exhaustion and heat stroke. Wear light
weight and loose fitting clothing when possible and drink plenty
of water.

The occupational safety and health administration recommends
these additional steps to reduce risk during outdoor work...
schedule frequent rest breaks in shaded or air conditioned
environments. Anyone overcome by heat should be moved to a cool
and shaded location. Heat stroke is an emergency... call 911.
