... Significant weather advisory for western Scott and northern Polk
counties until 545 PM CDT...

At 453 PM CDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm over
Queen Wilhelmina State Park, or 12 miles northwest of Mena, moving
southeast at 25 mph. Storms will continue to develop over Scott and
Polk counties.

Small hail from pea up to half inch and winds in excess of 40 to 45
mph will be possible with these storms. Dangerous lightning and very
heavy rain with localized flooding will be seen.

Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe
shelter inside a building or vehicle.
