Watches: --------- 1. Heavy sw`ly swell is expected between Cunene River and east London, subsiding from the west on Sunday afternoon. 2. Very rough seas with wave heights in excess of 4.0m is expected between Alexander Bay and Cape Agulhas Friday afternoon, reaching east London on Saturday afternoon. 3. High seas with wave heights from 6 to 8.0m is expected between cape Columbine and port Alfred from Friday evening into Saturday morning. 4. A gale force nw`ly to w`ly winds 35 to 40 is expected between Table Bay and Cape Agulhas on Friday afternoon, spreading to east London overnight. 5. Moderate to poor visibility in rain and thundershowers is expected south of luderitz to east London from Friday afternoon into Saturday afternoon. 6. Very poor visibility in fog is expected between Cunene River and Table Bay tonight into tomorrow morning (friday).

Cunene River to Walvis Bay: wind : S to se 05 to 15. Vis : good. Sea state: 2.0 to 3.5m, long period SW swell.

Walvis Bay to Orange River: wind : NW 10 to 20 in the south but SW 10 to 20 in the north. It will become S to se 20 to 25 by the second half of the period. Vis : good but moderate in fog patches and showers by the first half of the period. Sea state: 2.5 to 5.0m, long period SW swell.

Orange River to cape agulhas: wind : NW 15 to 25, reaching 30 to 35 south of Table Bay by Friday afternoon. It will become S to SW 20 to 30, reaching 35 south of Table Bay in the evening. Vis : moderate to poor in fog at first becoming moderate to poor in showers and rain. Sea state: 3.0 to 5.0m, reaching 5.5 to 7.0m by Friday evening, long period W to SW swell.

Cape Agulhas to east london: wind : N to NE 05 to 15, becoming NW 20 to 25 from the west, spreading eastwards, reaching east London. It will become cyclonic 10 to 35 in the west on Friday evening spreading eastwards reaching east London overnight. Vis : good becoming moderate in rain and showers by the second half of the period. Sea state: 3.0 to 4.0m, reaching 4.5 to 7.0m west of Plettenberg, spreading eastwards reaching east London on Saturday, long period W to SW swell.

East London to Maputo: wind : NE to N 15 to 25, reaching 30. Vis : good. Sea state: 2.0 to 4.0m, E to se swell.

Mozambique channel: wind : E to se 15 to 25, reaching 30. Vis : moderate in rain and showers. Sea state: 2.0 to 3.0m in the south, S to se swell
