Update...
latest rap model shows a back door cold front easing into the
state today with some higher moisture pooling ahead of it...
forecast precipitable water values run near 2 inches this afternoon. This along
with daytime heating will support scattered/numerous showers and
some thunderstorms. High pressure on the Gulf Coast east of the
Mississippi Valley sinks into the Gulf today as the front moves
in...resulting in a prevailing northerly and northeasterly
1000-700 mb flow. Although a weak sea breeze sets up near the
coast and focuses increased shower/storm coverage there.

Currents forecasts generally on track but will make some minor
adjustments as the morning wears on.

Aviation...
12z issuance. Prevailing VFR although isolated/scattered thunderstorms and rain between 17z-03z
will provide broken VFR clouds and possible MVFR vsby/cigs.
Predominately NE winds...but with an onshore component at
tpa/pie/srq and gusty at pgd/fmy/rsw.

Marine...
northeast and north winds today as some thunderstorms push
offshore later in the afternoon and evening. Winds begin to
increase tonight and may require caution/advisory headlines.
